This company is gaining attention in the global smart city market with its innovative technology 'uGPS (underground GPS),' which provides satellite-level precise location information even in spaces where conventional GPS signals cannot reach, such as underground areas, tunnels, and inside large buildings.

IDCITI's uGPS fundamentally solves the limitations of existing GPS. Using SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology, it artificially generates GPS signals in underground and indoor spaces that are almost identical to actual satellite signals. Thanks to this, existing GPS receivers installed in smartphones or navigation systems can receive and use location information directly without needing to install additional hardware or software. This means providing a new experience where navigation works seamlessly even in tunnels or underground parking lots.

The strength of uGPS is that it can be used immediately upon installation and requires no additional preprocessing or separate infrastructure construction. It also enables real-time precise location tracking even on high-speed moving objects traveling over 100km/h, and is very precise with an average location error within 3m in GPS shadow areas. It also has excellent cost-performance compared to competing solutions. It's noteworthy that it provides global standard GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) signals, making it universally usable anywhere in the world.

Demonstration and commercialization results are also remarkable. IDCITI has verified uGPS performance at various sites including Seoul's Namsan Tunnel No. 1, Metropolitan Area Ring Expressway No. 1, and Incheon Startup Park underground parking lot. Particularly at Jamsil Transit Center, it significantly improved public transportation information accuracy by drastically reducing bus arrival prediction error from 600 seconds to 14 seconds. In 2025, they are accelerating global market expansion by participating in CES, the world's largest IT exhibition, and VivaTech, Europe's largest tech event, to begin full-scale entry into North American and European markets, and signing PoC agreements with North American defense-related companies.

Technical reliability is also high. uGPS has already obtained KC certification and US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and European CE certifications, and has filed patents in major markets including the US, EU, and China, pursuing global business expansion based on intellectual property rights.

IDCITI's uGPS is evaluated as the core of future urban infrastructure including smart cities, autonomous driving, smart mobility, public transportation, smart parking, logistics automation, and emergency rescue, beyond being a simple location information technology. The company is deploying expansion strategies into various industrial sectors based on B2G (government) and B2B (business) business models. CEO Ryu Ji-hoon stated, "uGPS will become the basic infrastructure of smart cities," expressing his ambition to "lead the global indoor positioning market starting with Europe and North America."
